KITCHEN MANAGER
Job Description: We are looking for a kitchen manager who will be primarily responsible for the back of house and kitchen area, with support from the rest of the management staff. The kitchen manager will hire staff, order food and stock, and make sure all employees are trained on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques. In addition, the kitchen manager will ensure that the company’s standards are upheld: the food looks good and is cooked properly, the proportions are correct, and it is cooked and served in a timely manner. The kitchen manager will also make sure that the kitchen is properly cleaned on a regular schedule, food is disposed of properly and the kitchen meets all sanitary standards.
We are looking for a strong leader who can earn the respect of our already established back of house staff and any new staff members that join our team. It is crucial in this role to have strong organizational skills in order to keep check out & cleaning lists updated, pre-determined food specials and menus to properly promote, and put orders in & receive shipments in accordance with constantly changing event schedule. We need a rational individual who can confidently and effectively deal with employee conflict, dissatisfied customers and wrong stock orders with quick and effective solutions.
